What this site collects, and why

This is a short policy because there is not much to collect. GEOoptimised runs no ad network, no tracking pixel from any third party other than the one named below, and does not sell or share data with anyone.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read. It does not load until you click "Accept analytics" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you click "Necessary only", or close the banner without choosing, Google Analytics never loads and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for geooptimised.com and revisiting.

When accepted, Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes standard analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device and browser type) under Google's own privacy terms. We do not combine this with any other data source, and we do not use it to identify you personally.

Email

If you email hello@geooptimised.com, we keep that email to act on it (usually: check a source you sent us and regrade a claim). We do not add your address to a mailing list, and this site does not currently send any newsletter or marketing email.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to tools we review carry an affiliate tag, disclosed per tool on who pays us. Clicking one may set a cookie on the vendor's own site, controlled by that vendor, not by us. We do not track which links you click.

What we do not do

  • No display advertising, and no ad-network tracking scripts.
  • No fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no data broker relationships.
  • No account system, so nothing is stored against a login because there is no login.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold on you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to processing. Given the above, in practice that means: any email you sent us, and nothing else. Email hello@geooptimised.com to exercise any of these rights.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. We do not silently edit past claims about what we collect, the same rule that governs every other claim on this site: see corrections.
